- Set up your data.
- Enter your data into Excel.
- Make sure that your data is organized in columns with headings.
- Select your data.
- Click and drag your cursor over the data you want to include in your combo chart.
- Insert a combo chart.
- Click the Insert tab on the ribbon.
- In the Charts group, click the Combo chart icon.
- In the All Charts tab, select the combo chart type that you want to use.
- Change the chart type for a data series.
- Click on the data series that you want to change the chart type for.
- Click the Change Chart Type button.
- In the Change Chart Type dialog box, select the chart type that you want to use for the data series.
- Click OK.
- Format your combo chart.
- To change the colors of the data series, click on a data series and then click the Format Data Series button.
- To add data labels, right-click on the combo chart and then click Add Data Labels.
- Customize your combo chart.
- To change the title of the chart, click on the chart title and then type in your new title.
- To change the axis labels, right-click on the axis and then click Format Axis.
Your combo chart is now complete!
