How to Create a Combo Chart in Excel
  1. Set up your data.
    • Enter your data into Excel.
    • Make sure that your data is organized in columns with headings.
  2. Select your data.
    • Click and drag your cursor over the data you want to include in your combo chart.
  3. Insert a combo chart.
    • Click the Insert tab on the ribbon.
    • In the Charts group, click the Combo chart icon.
    • In the All Charts tab, select the combo chart type that you want to use.
  4. Change the chart type for a data series.
    • Click on the data series that you want to change the chart type for.
    • Click the Change Chart Type button.
    • In the Change Chart Type dialog box, select the chart type that you want to use for the data series.
    • Click OK.
  5. Format your combo chart.
    • To change the colors of the data series, click on a data series and then click the Format Data Series button.
    • To add data labels, right-click on the combo chart and then click Add Data Labels.
  6. Customize your combo chart.
    • To change the title of the chart, click on the chart title and then type in your new title.
    • To change the axis labels, right-click on the axis and then click Format Axis.

Your combo chart is now complete!
